Burn awareness week is right around the corner. As usual it's the first full week in February. At least one organization, however, is not waiting until then to start their burn awareness campaign.

Faces Of Fire is a media campaign by the National Fire Prevention Association that does as its name suggests: Personalizes fire safety parables. Burn awareness week is coming, and none too soon. The first full week in February is burn awareness week every year - and every year, near the back of my mind, is, "Shouldn't it be the week before Christmas?" Firefighter FRED To Be Renamed

Just a quick note - Firefighter FRED is getting a new name. It's still going to be Fire Ready Every Day, but there are already enough Firefighter Freds, Freddies, Freddys and so on out there. We've decided to be a little more original. The character's name may go back to Ace, or we might go with something else. More news on this as it develops.
